Stoke Newington wedding – The House at Clissold Park Wedding.

Ogo and Julius contacted me a few months ago when they were looking for a wedding photographer. We met over a coffee at Clissold Park for a pre-wedding consultation and they told me all about their wedding plans.

I had shot another Clissold Park wedding the previous November so I already knew the best spots for photos and how the light behaves at this venue, something that made Ogo and Julius really relaxed.

I also have a personal connection with this place: when I visited London for the first time I stayed in a friend’s house in Stoke Newington and walked around Clissold Park a couple of times. I couldn’t have imagined that I’d be shooting weddings at this place a few years later.

Wedding day

On their wedding day, I arrived a few minutes ahead of time and got some shots of the bride and groom before the wedding. It was a beautiful day, with lots of sunshine coming through the windows.

After the wedding ceremony, the couple went for a walk in Clissold Park for some shots. These shots after the ceremony are a special moment for the couples, when they can relax and recover from the anxiety in the lead-up to the wedding. I advise all couples to have some time for themselves after the ceremony…. and I can naturally capture this moment.

The catering was provided by Eat Jollof, with an amazing food and customer service.

During the reception, there were poetry reading and several musical performances from both families, including bride and groom. It’s worth mentioning that Julius is an excellent musician, with great skills on the piano.

The wedding reception was followed by the first dance and this finished this very romantic and classy wedding in Stoke Newington.
