Tower Hamlets wedding
Leigh and Katie’s wedding was at Tower Hamlets Register Office and their reception at the French restaurant, Plateau, in Canary Warf.
This was a very unusual wedding for me because the couple only got in touch with me to photograph it a few days before the wedding day.
The couple wanted only a couple of hours of coverage – just the ceremony at Tower Hamlets Register Office and the beginning of the wedding lunch at Plateau Restaurant, in Canary Wharf.
As the wedding was on a weekday and I was available on the day, we quickly organised the whole shoot and Leigh and his wife Katie got their wedding beautifully captured.
The register office is located at Bow Road, in East London. The building has an interesting architectural style and the Christmas decorations were up at the time.
After the ceremony, we went to the modern area of Canary Warf for their wedding reception at the French restaurant Plateau. The walk to the restaurant was fantastic as we needed to go through Canary Warf shopping centre to get to the restaurant and loads of customers congratulated the couple!
It was a lovely wedding, with their close friends making it a really warm and intimate atmosphere, and I was so happy to be a part of it.
