Trash The Dress – Florianopolis / Brazil – Dani & Gabi

This trash-the-dress photo session was one of the most fantastic and inspiring I’ve ever done. Dani and Gabi are a great couple living in Florianopolis, a wonderful island in the south of Brazil and got in touch for some creative wedding photos.

This photo shoot took place in the north of Florianopolis, between Jurere Internacional and Praia do Forte. We started our photos at a fort (Fortaleza de São José da Ponta Grossa) which has amazing views and a great landscaped garden.

Shortly after, we headed to Forte Beach for some shots on the sand and the rocks. When the sun started setting in the mountains on the west, everybody jumped in the water for some cinematic photos. The sunset is a very special moment of the day for photography because the light is so beautiful and changes really fast, particularly in Brazil.

I was really happy to have a waterproof camera, lenses and flashes with me. The photos were really worth getting soaked for!
